Shapes & Symbols series
Recycled cardboard, recycled paper, paper, paper clay, inks
I’m a Belgian fashion designer based in Paris. I graduated at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 2014 and have been working in Paris since then (I worked for companies such as John Galliano, Dior Homme and Dries van Noten). Recently, I came to the conclusion that I urgently needed a career change. Since collecting ceramics is another passion of mine, I decided to devote all my time to creating vases. My first series, “Shapes & Symbols,” is made from recycled cardboard (which I find through dumpster diving and collecting at local supermarkets), recycled paper, paper, paper clay and inks. This series is inspired by Brutalist architecture and more specifically the abandoned Spomenik monuments from the former Yugoslavia and is also heavily influenced (in colour) by my love and passion for the Queer Community.
